A plain-English summary. Last updated July 2026.

BookThru is a trading style of Smarter Sites Ltd (the "data controller" for the marketing site and platform accounts). We keep this short and honest.

What we collect

• Account data — the business name, email and password you provide at signup, used to run your account.
• Salon data — the services, staff, hours and bookings you enter, processed on your behalf so your salon can take bookings.
• Client data — the contact details your clients enter to book. You are the controller of that data; we process it for you and you can export or delete it at any time.

Where it lives

Data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure in the UK/EU region. We use processors such as Stripe (payments) and an email provider (transactional messages) strictly to deliver the service.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data. To make a request or ask a question, email hello@bookthru.co.uk. If we ever suffer a qualifying data breach we report it to the ICO within 72 hours as required.

Cookies

The marketing site uses no tracking cookies. The app uses a single first-party session cookie to keep you signed in — nothing more.
